My dad, as a lecturer and a former campus director of a UiTM / worked in Unisel/ currently in UPNM :

" Ala SPM results ni is really insignificant to diploma. I've seen so many students with tip top results, kena tendang keluar in the first semester. Tak gheti apa. That's why im not really concern on your results. asal kan 2 digit for every subject cukupla. haha if its really significant, then ofcourse id push you like hell. but its really not. BUT. all that matters is that u really are interested in the subject. Because there were students who were soo good! but then in diploma flunked badly. when asked, they said its not what they want but what their parents want. thats wrong. Got some students, results no A whatsoever, but in diploma dean's list all the way. smbung until PHD overseas. Bought me a watch as a token. hehehe Like i said, u must have interest, and consistent. That's why UiTM sets the qualifications to only 5 credits. because ull be amaze on how weak students in high schools can do wonders."


:) well yea. to those who did wonders in SPM. CONGRATULATIONS. and of course you have a leg up in everything in the future. and brighter possibilities. Pick ure course carefully so u wont be like the students who chose according to what their parents want and flunked.

BUT to the people who didnt do so well. its obvious that ITS not the end of the road. failed once doesnt mean you wont be able to do well in university. it all depends on you :)
